Luther League is the high school ministry of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
We gather every other week during the Sunday School hour between worship services to check in, study the Bible, and grow in faith together.
Luther League also includes many service opportunities and other chances to get involved. High school age youth are welcome to be as active in Luther League as you would like to be.
For 2017, our summer trip will be a mission trip to exciting and diverse city of Chicago. We’ll have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways and learn more about the city, its challenges, and what God is up to there.
We will be partnering with CSM (Center for Student Missions - csm.org), a youth mission organization specializing in hosting service trips for youth groups around the country. They will provide our housing and meals, arrange all of our service projects, and travel with us everywhere we go.
The trip this year will be Sunday, July 23 - Friday, July 28. If you are interested in participating, please talk to Keith, Carrie, or Christin as soon as possible. The trip is open to students who are currently in grades 9-12. We are asking for a commitment and $50 initial deposit as soon as possible, as we need to reserve our spot with CSM and space is limite
If you haven’t been involved in Luther League activities so far this year, remember that it’s not an all or nothing thing, so you’re invited to come to any events or Sunday morning meetings that you’re available. For the trip, you will be expected to help with some fundraising activities. Talk to one of the leaders with any questions.
Contact Christin Flucke with any questions or want more information about this summer’s mission trip.
